I think I was being a little lenient in that Boehner admitted that he had made a mistake and did get "No Work, No Pay" established on getting a budget. We will see if that actually accomplishes anything.
One of the reasons I wrote to him was to keep his feet to the fire. Without tremendous pressure from conservative Republicans, he is far too likely to sell us down the river with his incessant desire to compromise with the Democrats. I am fed up with compromise. It gets us nothing but disasters like "Obamacare!" I am so tired of Democrats holding firm on all the issues and Republicans caving in at every opportunity. If the Republicans don't get some backbone and start going for the jugular, I don't see the value in continuing to vote for them. More and more, I consider myself a "Conservative" rather than a "Republican."
