WEST PALM BEACH — A teen who achieved infamy last year when she helped swipe a Girl Scout's cookie money was a victim — not a perpetrator — of a September armed robbery and kidnapping and should be released from jail, her attorney told a judge Wednesday.
"She was in fear," attorney Leonard Feuer said of his client, Stefanie Woods. "Her will wasn't her own."
Palm Beach County Circuit Judge Amy Smith didn't buy it.
She ordered the 19-year-old to continue to be held in the Palm Beach County jail without bond on charges of kidnapping with a firearm and robbery with a firearm — charges that carry a possible life sentence.
