Re: Great encounter with DPS in Johnson County

My son had the same experiance with DPS in Johnson County during a speeding stop on Christmas morning. He wasn't sure if it was the CHL the fac that he is a FF/MEDIC or the combo.

Re: What did Santa bring

Since I have purchased four new guns (LC9, S&W Bodyguard, Glock 17 & Glock 23) in the 1 1/2 months, the only gun related item was a 33 roung mag for the
Glock 17.

Re: No way...

I guess if you get pulled over while your plastic is in the mail you will just have to explain to the officer that it takes over a week to get mail from Austin. Cause you know you are already in the system and when he checks you are going to come up as CHL holder. :confused5

Re: New to the Forum, here's my timeline!!

Welcome to the forum. The wait can drive you crazy. I am in the check the mail box stage. Could have been here Saturday, should have been here Monday, can't believe it was not there today but sure hope it makes it tomorrow. I think you have your timeline wrong. You had a backward time shift there. ...

Re: Under BG Check for 5 weeks

Oh, and I don't think they speed it up if you are squeaky clean. I have had chl in the past, lived in same house for 26 years, been at only two jobs in last 25 years and have never had more than a speeding ticket.

Re: Under BG Check for 5 weeks

I have been in the BG Check for three weeks. Have seen some on here get their plastic that sent their papers in weeks after me. Guess you and I got on the desk of someone that needed to burn their vacation time before the end of the year.

Re: Manufacturing pending!

Seems the BG checks are taking a little longer this month. Maybe the Holiday Season? I have been in the BG under review since 11-23.

USPO or State slow?

Mailed paper work to state on Monday, here it is Friday and the state still shows waiting on paper work. I know that its only two days to Austin by mail. I hope the state is just slow to post that they have received my papers.
