Re: 1st GLOCK Range report

Having spent 25 years in the Army with a 1911, I used to be totally against Glocks - until I finally bought a Glock 26 (gen 4). I love it, and mine is VERY accurate even when compared to my Gold Cup.

I liked it so much, I also purchased a Glock 19 (gen 3). I have fired just about every type of ammo I could find thru it, and have never experienced a FTF or FTE. I put Trijicon night sights on both, and really like them - those bright green dots really show up nicely. While I don't have any problems with the grips on either one, I did put extended slide locks and extended slide releases on both. The gen 4 G26 has a larger mag release, and I like that. I put an extended mag release on the G19, but it sometimes seems a little too long to me.

I bought a couple of the Pearce 2/3 round mag extensions for the G26, but after putting one on a mag found that I'd rather carry it with the original magazine. The extension sticks out just enough to make it a little more difficult to conceal (for me anyway).

Anyway, the G26 is probably the one I carry most often, normaly in a Galco SkyOps holster and a 10 round mag with Winchester Talon +P. Love it!
