Wow...times have certainly changed...in 1974 unless you had years of previous experience, you had have either a Law degree or an Accounting degree to even be eligible to enter the FBI Academy. They did have an internship program at that time, where you could attend college in D.C., while working part-time in a general administrative function (filing and shuffling papers primarily) and they would pay part of the tuition and books and upon graduation you would be eligible to enter the Academy. Back then even if you had 10 years of LE experience and exemplary record, you still had to have at least a 4 year Bachelor's degree to be eligible. Surprised that he received a "lifetime" 100% disability at age 31 for an "injured leg" and broken ankle...it evidently wasn't a severe enough problem to keep the FBI from hiring him.VMI77 wrote:Some of them even get a new job with the FBI, even though they're getting a $52,000 a year pension for "disability."mamabearCali wrote:Great.....so a police officer can abuse a citizen most horrifically and the city can pay and they get to keep their jobs.
