Yeah I can definitely see now why you (and everyone else I know) suggests a molded gun holster. It's insanely uncomfortable to drive with when I wear it in the back and I'm always afraid it'll fall out if I bump into someone. That being said though, for the time being I tighten up my belt and make sure I don't print. I'm always fearful of printing or showing when I get up from sitting =/ Can't wait till my holster gets here, just got an email saying it was already shipped!!

Since getting my plastic I feel like I really need that Kholster holster to come in. I've been using a *fits all* holster for the last day or so from Uncle Mike's and its definitely not very comfortable. Will definitely post up some pictures soon when I get a chance. Thanks for the help and input, while if you didn't post in this thread, it was helpful to hear advice and reassurance that the txdps moves at snail mail rather than anything remotely fast. Will definitely stick around though, its exciting to see people get their plastic too.

Ugh....I was on the same timeline as you as well....still waiting for fingerprints (Me thinks mine got lost in the glitch), and BG is still under review....but I've got a couple of spots on my record, so no big shock there...

Haha awesomeee, same here!! I went to check my mail today at 3PM and saw nothing so I left disappointed in the Houston rain. But while driving to work I saw the mailman delivering some mail at 4pm. After work I went to check it and there it was, a white ordinary envelope with just an ID, nothing else. can't wait to do the wally walk though!! Woooo grats to us!

Sorry bigapp, still pending on this side. I haven't checked the mail yet for the last two days so hopefully with much luck I might have it sitting in there.. waiting. Haha keep ya updated.

My BG was just completed this week and it seems it's being manufactured right now. Kinda wondering if it's going to take another week to mail out. I doubt it actually takes longer than a few days to make an id.. Congrats on the status change! haha I wonder who's going to receive their ID first

@lugnut - That's awesome that they actually responded. I've been hearing that they can take awhile, I'm sure that Class C won't suspend the BG check too long definitely sure that they'll inform you otherwise if anything changes

@thebigapp - Curious when did they update your status after you mailed them out your documents? I checked yesterday and they said I'm not missing anything, now just waiting on the BG to pass through. Hopefully by this time next week I'll see the status as "MAILED". Hopefully we ALL get our plastic before the new year.

I understand the concern for the Class C, I had a great time trying to fill out my employment history for the last 5 years. Luckily I prepared it previously in case I needed to reference my history for a new job. Good luck to you too! Hopefully both of our plastics will come in the mail before 2012

Yeah I saw that the website was down. I am a bit worried about what I submitted, I sent everything that was on the check list but cross referencing it with the CHL check list on one of the threads I saw, I thought I might've been missing a few papers or affidavits. Can't wait till xmas, it should be there by then. Still would like to see an update though on the website. Did they send you a reply?

CHL class - 11/22/11
Submitted online application - 11/26/11
Fingerprinting/mailed in paperwork - 11/28/11

Got my confirmation that someone received it in the mail room of the DPS office, but it still hasn't updated on the website. Hopefully it's a smooth process with no hiccups.

Still got 4 more weeks or more to wait :(
