Re: Sent renewal in on Nov. 28 via Internet ...
Looks like I screwed up too. Sent the renewal a month ago and mine will expire in about two weeks. Never thought there were a reason for it to take so long. Pretty sure my last renewal went quickly so I wasn't all that concerned. It's going to make me feel naked for a while until it comes in. What I...

Re: concealed means concealed!
I would have called security. ignorance of the law excuses no one. I would tend to get in a conversation about guns with the guy ~ the only way I would also call in the security guard was to find out what he's carrying too! But of course he is most likely just carrying his radio. I suppose if you l...

Re: concealed means concealed!
While i agree that giving a heads up would be nice, how would someone know that person has a CHL? What if that person is not allowed to carry at all and is carrying illegally? Personally, if the printing wasnt too bad, i wouldnt say anything. IMO, the majority of people who do not carry probably ne...

Liberty
Check out Aim Surplus they have some avialable now.
It's a good load don't get me wrong ~I have about 4K now but I like it best for my carbine but my FS92 likes 'em but I don't give her the chance to enjoy that much.

Re: 9mm NATO loads
Is there a common available FMJ round that closely matches 9mm NATO. rounds. I normally shoot WWB but I suspect they are under powered compared to military rated combat rounds. What weight mullet does our military use in its combat rounds. I guess if you could find a 124gn +P then it would be the s...

Is there a minimum caliber for the CHL shooting test?
I already have mine and I shoot an HK USPC45 but my buddy and his wife are taking the class. He wants to get her a gun that she can handle but all he has is a 1911 Commander. He seems to think that you must have at least a 9mm to qualify but I don't remember any restrictions on the caliber. He wants...

I tool my CHL there in June. I shot there one other time. It has an OK facility but to me it a little limited (handgun to 15+/- yds) and the facility is in (or was when I was there) transition from either a bowling alley or a previous shooting range and seemed to me a little run down...not to mentio...

That doesn't look like a fun wait, but congrats. I am starting to wonder what other factors come into play regarding how long the process takes. For example, maybe it has something to do with whether or not you have any criminal history that needs researched, the county you live in, your residentia...

Re: A Snail's Pace Is Faster, Believe Me!!
I went to CHL class on August 5th. I should have it in hand NLT mid-Oct. I wish you luck on getting it by no later than Mid Oct. I took my class in Mid June and mailed all in a week later & I am still "Processing"! I was real optimistic at first but with all of the Katrina crime &...
