Granted, -getting- a carry permit there can be harder than pulling hens' teeth, and their "approved firearms roster" is total crap, but once you have it, there's very, very few places you can't take it.
I'll take Texas gun laws over Massachusetts any day. Think I'll scratch that one off the visit list.
Ya know, funny that, I have no plans on moving there, either, although the wife and I do have kin there and we try to make time to visit.

Just thought it was rather amusing that such a restrictive state has overlooked yet another way to make honest folks into criminals.

Re: POSTED: Duck Commander Gift Shop - W. Monroe, LA

I sent 'em a quick email asking for clarification. If/when I get a reply, I'll post it here.

Re: POSTED: Duck Commander Gift Shop - W. Monroe, LA

Quick question for you - how many shops are there, does the family themselves run the day-to-day operations of the store, and is it possible the sign was posted by a well-meaning but ignorant (or not-so-well-meaning) employee?

I had a run-in with a local Wally World that posted the front doors with basic printed "no guns" signs, and called corporate. The signs were fairly quickly replaced with "No guns -except- those carried by LEO -and- CHL" type signs, posted due to New Mexico's liquor laws (concealed is fine in places selling booze, open is not, for some reason).

Give Duck Dynasty/Commander a chance to rectify this, or at least clarify whether this was some ignorant shift manager or a corporate policy-setter who posted it.
