I signed up in '73 but I was still in high school and they let me graduate. Was in Arkansas for 2 years working on B52 and Kc135 also. Went to Germany for the remainder of my time and worked on F4 phantoms. If I knew then what I know now, I'd made it a career. Don't know if I'd been any better off, but I'd retired a lot sooner. I like airplanes and working on airplanes. I hated the war games.Blackhorse1 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 18, 2020 5:53 pmI was in the air force 1971-1974. Wouldn't wanna go back overseas to vietnam for nothing, but I wouldn't trade my time served for nothing either. That's where boy's were made into men in a hurry. Worked on B-52's and KC135's. Crew chief on refuelers. Had lots of good times and lot's of sad times. Unfortunately the sad and bad times stay with us.
