Yeah, I hear ya. It only took about 10 seconds of holding one to determine there was not going to be a love affair (or even a fling) with one of Mr. Glock's masterpieces. The M&P9c I think is about as close to a perfect carry gun as one can get .

Just for grins, I weighed our handguns on an accurate scale:

• M&P9c (12 round mag w/finger rest, one in the pipe, pocket lint) - 1 lb 15.2 oz
  
  M&P 22 (12 round mag, one in the pipe, Streamlight TLR-4 light/laser) - 1 lb 10.8 oz
  
  Sig P238 (7 round mag, no finger rest, one in the pipe) - 1 lb 1.1 oz
  
  Ruger SR40 (15 round mag, one in the pipe, light) - 2 lb 6.3 oz
