That's what they did with mine and test fired it.

Yikes!

Glad it's on way back.

Re: Sig P238 failure to eject - HELP!

I sent mine directly back to Sig, when I told the LGS owner he fussed at me a tad since he wanted to provide full service including sending whatever he sold back to the factory if necessary. Nice guy.

My turnaround time was supposed to be two weeks and like you I wasn't happy doing without the newest member of the family for a while.

So two weeks passes by and my wife and I are having dinner at a restaurant and I get a phone call from a gun shop in Anchorage, Alaska informing me they have my repaired P238 :headscratch :grumble . WHAT? Sig somehow sent my 238 to them in error. So then my choices were:

a) they send it back to Sig in New Hampshire, Sig sends it to me
b) I pay the Anchorage LGS a $50 FFL fee and they send it to my LGS

As much as it hurt, I chose option a and resigned myself to waiting another week. I called Sig asap and told them what happened and they were a bit shocked and were going to throw me a bone for all of the hassle - I was either going to get extra magazines or a Sig trigger guard laser for free. Finally the 238 showed up and in the box was a laser. Thanks Sig! :tiphat:

Re: Sig P238 failure to eject - HELP!

The only FTE problems we have had with our P238 was indeed caused by limp-wristing. Ours seems to like anything we feed it, HPs, ball, flat, etc., the only problem we've ever had with it was an occasional casing hitting us in the face. Sig replaced the ejector and it's much better but still throws casings unpredictably, at least we don't get bonked.

Give it a little more time and focus on your grip - being so small I think it's more of a challenge to hold in a good shooting position.
