LOL! I'm not sure if I could ever dig myself out of the hole if I traded the SR40 in without approval!

I did run the idea by dear wife a couple of days ago and she's moderately negative about the idea - she really likes it (it was the first handgun she ever shot as far as I know). I suppose this seems like to her trading in a puppy you really like for another puppy, but I have no emotional attachment to the SR40 . She does need her time to emotionally detach from the Ruger.

Please - help - me...

Now I'm thinking about trading the SR40 in on a full size M&P in 40 cal . Now I have to think about how to break it to dear wife.

Being new handgun shooters, I don't know enough to pass judgement on trigger feel unless it is something really major like long or short pull length or a great disparity in pull force. Our M&P seems to have a really nice trigger, but what do I know

I do know that our 9c has a very short trigger reset. I tried several double-taps and they very easy to accomplish (all of our handguns will easily double tap) so I'm not sure about a trigger reset issue with the M&Ps.

I've handled several different Glock models and they just never felt good in the hand. If they did, I would have at least one Glock in the armory. Based on everything I've read about Glocks, they just plain work regardless.

I would like to go with night sights on the M&P, Our Sig has them and they are very effective.

I've been wearing the 9c all day in our new Galco KingTuck IWB holster. After a couple of hours I barely noticed it was there.

Fabulous experience. It felt great in the local gun shop and by golly it felt great at the range. At 7 yards I had a fairly tight group - I'm still a novice handgun shooter though. Most importantly, dear wife liked it ! It will be her carry weapon.

No technical issues with the gun. I was surprised to note the similarity between the Ruger SR40 (.40) kick and the M&P 9c - the Ruger is heaver but with the .40 it has a little more of a punch than the 9, but the M&P is lighter with a less powerfull shell. About the same recoil between the two.
