Re: North Carolina

Most hotels will provide a safe for valuables at no charge.

If so, please put your handgun there instead of leaving it in any vehicle. Easier to get for you and much harder to get for the bad guys.

Re: Brass or nickel?

There is one more problem. Nickel cases are much harder than brass and can wear reloading dies more quickly. It also tends to flake and/or rub off after a few reloadings and the loose nickel being harder than brass wears the dies. Not so much a problem with tungsten dies, but, certainly a considerat...

Re: Oakland buy-back program: Oops!

I took 22 junk and I mean JUNK Mosin 91s to a buy back deal in New Jersey and got $250 each for trash I bought for $15 each. I only wish I had bought all 1,500 the distributor had. The police and the city officials were irritated and wanted to get the press involved. They didn't do it when I told th...

Re: help reloading .223

218 Bee 219 Donaldson Wasp 220 Swift 221 Fireball 223 Remington 223 Remington Magnum 224 Weatherby Rocket 225 Winchester ALL use .224 bullets, kinda confusing, yep! And to make it even more interesting Hornady makes a .223 bullet for older 22 Hornets. Then there is the 243 Winchester and the 244 Rem...

Re: Good place to buy powder

Bass Pro Shop on IH-30 East near Lake Ray Hubbard does indeed sell powder. The prices appeared to be near retail and most were Hodgdon. I did not notice other reloading supplies, but, that was not why I was in the store. I am a licensed dealer and order powder in bulk so rarely do I purchase any at ...

Re: President of the NRA on Hillary and Soros...Scary

It is important to remember that we are each one real vote. But, only one... in a field of millions. Not that I am saying our vote is of little importance, it is of GREAT importance... we MUST use our heads as this is truly a pivotal election that will form our way of life forever!!! I will personna...

And you expected?????????

A radical, liberal, black, muslim and you thought maybe he'd be pro-gun? Nope, not a chance, the stupid damocraps have not yet learned how much being antigun can hurt, but, he will and soon. This could be the winning shot for the Hildebeast, she can't say anything for or against, but, we know, she j...

conservative or not

WOW! This forum certainly puts a lot of us on the soapbox. I could not support Mr. Paul only because he does not seem to understand international politics, nor our reasons for going to war on terror. I am most pleased to have the war on their turf than on ours. Just imagine having to cope with I.E.D...

vote in damocrap primary

If one votes in the damocrap primary he has the opportunity to help the dems lose by assisting to get the nomination to the least likely candidate to win the general election. Ron Paul will likely not be running when the primary comes to Texas, but, Mike Huckabee probably will. Mike is a great candi...

Huckabee for me

He's not the most popular, nor the most totally conservative, but, he's the ONLY one who is even remotely electible, and you can't help but like him. Personnally I shall vote in the Democratic Primary and vote for OBamBam as he is likely to be easier to beat than the Hildebeast. Many conservative el...

I doubt it

The consistent refusal of SCOTUS to review anything about the 2nd amendment will probably continue. The lower court's decision will stand and the "leaders" of DC will be forced to give in to the ruling. Our only real chance is that some of the better Justices may see this as the last ditch...

Red River Federal Credit Union - Texarkana, TX

Aside from the fact that they didn't post until the last possible chance as you walked into the main lobby, the 30.06 sign must have been 30" x 40", bright white letters on the glass door. I politely wrote a check and closed that account and mailed the check to Bandera Bank in Bandera, Tex...
