Re: Marketing "No Carry" signs
One of my wife's Facebook acquaintances owns a sign shop. My wife mentioned to me last week that this acquaintance had a post talking about how busy they were printing 30.06/30.07 signs. That led me to wonder what I would do if I owned a sign shop - would I refuse that business or not? I guess as l...

Re: Marketing "No Carry" signs
I'm sure it can be seen as vandalizing private property, but eh, businesses need to learn. What do you think they will have learned? That their sign was bad or that gun owners are bad? I suspect the latter. Knowingly vandalizing a store will only set back any OC cause. And a owner/manager with a go...

Re: Marketing "No Carry" signs
I have no problem with a business, helping other businesses, follow the law. Like so many others on here, my issue stems from businesses feeling that they can put whatever sign they want up, and we have to follow it...sad part is, by law, we do have to follow it. Why isn't there someone regulating t...

Re: Will You OC Using A Non-Retention Holster?
Most people who are going to go for your gun, and going to try to pull it UP, and out of the holster. What good is a video of him showing me, him telling someone to push down, therefore making it easier to break? Would it have been that easy if a smaller guy was pushing down on it? Would it have bro...

Re: Failure to ID
I could argue that possession of prescription drugs (a controlled substance) is illegal without a prescription, but we don't have officers that demand to see a prescription every time they find a pill bottle. They do however check your identification, and make sure the bottle belongs to you...only ...

Re: Will You OC Using A Non-Retention Holster?
Question for the group. With so much concern about retention can one have "retention" with just a clip on your belt holster? Seems that your gun with holster can be removed. Do most retention holsters actually have your belt going through a cutout in the holster vs belt clips? Obviously t...

People are just asking to get reassurance, on something they're not 100% positive about. Could have sworn that's what this forum was for.

Maybe a mod can put together a "FAQ" prompt for the site. Pops up when someone signs in, one time, then goes away.Abraham wrote:At this late date, the amount of misinformation regarding retention/non-retention holsters for OC is surprising.

Love my Fobus paddle holster for my PX4 storm. Has a screw to adjust retention. First holster I bought, and still using it.

Re: Texas police say they'll take new open carry law in stride
No one said allowed, but we've had people shot for reaching for their wallet before...what makes you think someone won't freak out and shoot someone "reaching" (wallet might be on the same side as their EDC) in the direction of their weapon? Certainly some personal risk is assumed when ca...
