Re: Pictures of OWB carry.

During the winter I carry OWB in a leather Galco holster and its really comfortable and conveinitent with jackets and all. I am also looking for an acceptable OWB holster to carry concealed in the summer time. Can not stand IWB holsters!

Re: Unarmed For The Weekend

Just had a little mini vacation to Houston and Galveston and was very happy to see all of the places we visited were gun friendly or at least not posted.

I also have to say i'm glad to see all of the state parks and monuments have stayed CHL friendly.

Re: Letherman tool as defensive weapon.

I used to own a leatherman then my wife's grandpa got me a SOG multi tool for Christmas in 2005. It is the most excellent little multi tool I have ever carried. They are however, a tad bit pricey. I probably wouldn't have bought it myself then but now having carried one so long I can clearly see its...

Re: Potato Cannons

:thumbs2: Thanks for the insight guys! Some valuable information in the name of fun. As for the guy missing a digit. I can imagine that was a very painful experience. This falls under my category of accepted risk. Because if you are going to play with fire, you may get burned. I take the same risks ...

Re: Potato Cannons

I would not be worried about it if I were just planning to use it right here on my property. The thing I am wondering about is if I traveled with it in the bed of my pickup on the way to my buddies land and were to get stopped, How would the LEO feel about it. Maybe one will come along and let us al...

Re: Potato Cannons

Yeah we used to do dumb things with potato guns when I was alot younger. Such as putting all sorts of shrapnel on top of the potato. Since then, wiser brain cells have prevailed and I don't even use spuds anymore. I use the little foam/rubber balls kids play games with. A lot softer in the wake of a...

Re: Experience flying with gun.

If applicable to where your going, you could always consider taking a train. I have checked a firearm with Amtrak several times with no trouble at all. Plus, at present, you do not have to deal with TSA, Searches, body scanners, ect. It wasn't any trouble....just more disturbed two different ones s...

Potato Cannons

This is way off topic so it should fit well in this group. We always built potato guns/cannons growing up and have always heard different stories on what the law actually is pertaining to these. I have started building another one, just to have something to mess around with. Simple pipe barrel and c...

Re: Duplicate License

Welcome to the forum. You cannot have two Texas CHL's; only one at a time. You really need to have you license on your person at all times in case you have to exit your vehicle or home and get off of your property while carrying. Just keep it with your drivers license as you have to show it when as...
