They have a 1000 round limit, but thats still better than trying to pickup a 3 box max from those other stores. Pay no attention to the online inventory, it is totally separate from the store. Hope they still have what you're looking for! I am really lucky my wife let us make the detour on our way through houston. I was finally able to get to the range for the first time in months lastnight.RJGold wrote:Thank you. I was just looking them up on line after I saw this mentioned in another post. I appreciate the tip. It's a nice day for a ride. Think I'll get the bike out and head up there.knotquiteawake wrote:https://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=Suga ... ra=ls&z=11" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;RJGold wrote:Tried the old Monday, Wednesday, Friday at 0800 trick at Academy in Sugar Land this morning. Here are directions to Freedom munitions, you are only 25 minutes away. They seriously had tens of thousands of 9mm there, 100+ boxes of 500 rounds. Give them a call to check and make sure though. I went on a Saturday afternoon last weekend and it wasn't even packed. http://www.freedommunitions.com/category-s/1819.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: Where to Buy 9MM now?
If you are anywhere near Houston you should stop by freedom munitions physical store. That inventory is separate from the Web site. I'm out here in Houston on a road trip and made sure to stop by. Bought a box of 500 9mm for $144 they had probably another 75-100 boxes there.

Re: Where to Buy 9MM now?
I've gotten it once, it wasn't for the regular 9mm ammo though it was the (used to be cheaper) "blaster training ammo". So the trick is to sign up for several different types of ammo in every quantity they sell.Teamless wrote:I signed up for Freedom Munitions "email notifier" about a week or 2 ago, havent had any emails :(

Re: Where to Buy 9MM now?
I laughed out loud. We really are to the point where 10 minutes is making a difference. Man I wish I had gotten into guns and CHL a little earlier in life, now everything I want or would want in the near future prices me out of the market for now. Time to start playing the lottery and hope I get lucky.Ericstac wrote:FYI, gunbot.net is actually faster than freedomunitions email notifier. i think it was close to ten minute difference and with sales right now thats a huge difference.

I found my own answer:knotquiteawake wrote:This was always my impression as well but that was from an e-commerce class I took in College back in 2006. I have already been charged by them for the .32 i ordered and I have no shipping information. Two weeks and counting.Redneck_Buddha wrote:

http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Is_it_legal_t ... he_product" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
It is technically legal, but it isn't good business!! Most companies only charge when they ship. It is against VISA and MasterCard's regulations for a merchant to bill their cards prior to shipping.
Contrary to what some sources indicate, the Fair Credit Billing Act does not address if it is legal for a company to charge you before shipping the product. Instead, it makes it illegal to not ship within advertised time period (or 30 days if no expected shipping date is mentioned in the agreement). If a merchant says "this item takes 90 days to ship", then they may bill right away and not have a legal problem if they ship before the 90 day window.

Re: Where to Buy 9MM now?
I was off work today for illness and while at the WalMart picking up my prescriptions I was able to buy 3 boxes of Federal 9mm for the normal $11.95/box. The guy there said they only had a handful of boxes left because the last time they got a shipment of ammo was last monday and didn't know when to expect more.

Re: Where to Buy 9MM now?
I'm glad I started with a small order too. If things go well I might try a larger order. They had a good price on Gold Dots for my .32 so I gave it shot anyways.Redneck_Buddha wrote:Wow...I saw some good feedback on other forums but didn't see this. Good thing it's a small order and I ordered more ammo from a place with a bit better reputation. Is it just me or is customer service an issue across the industry?knotquiteawake wrote:Just buyer beware regarding Palmetto State Armory, I've heard bad things about them. I've never ordered from them before but I do have a couple boxes of .32 that should be coming "eventually" when they get caught up I guess:

Re: Where to Buy 9MM now?
I ended up placing an order with Freedom Munitions. 500 will hopefully be enough to get me through the physical store shortages.

Re: Where to Buy 9MM now?
No, i know I was not joking. I lived in California. I had a friend with a glock, he had to order some "spare parts" for his magazines, the end result being a factory magazine holding 15 rounds. He never got caught, but we all knew the "risk" he was taking.JALLEN wrote:I think you think you are joking, but in fact you are correct. No magazines holding over 10 rounds are legal to buy, sell, own or possess unless you owned and possessed them in California before some magic date more than ten years ago. Get caught... no more guns forever. They will let a couple of rapists and robbers out to make room for you, though!knotquiteawake wrote:If I lived in California I would be a felon for having my Assault "Clips" for my glock.Stupid wrote:Why you need more than 16 rounds is beyond any reasonable mind. Re: Where to Buy 9MM now?
Went to Wal Mart here in Rowlett today. The rude clerk (which I had to spend 10 minutes trying to find ) said they don't have 9mm. I asked if they would be getting any soon and he just replied "well we'll get it when we get it ok???" Geezus, calm down.
So I went to Dicks Sporting Goods in Firewheel, they too were out of 9mm.
Going to try the Wal Mark in Rockwall later today.
