Dear Sir or Madam,
SUBJECT: CONCEALED HANDGUNS
I wanted to let you know that I have seen your 30.06 sign and I will follow your wishes by never doing business with you while I am lawfully carrying a concealed handgun under Section 30.06 of the Texas Penal Code. Since I always lawfully carry, then it follows that I cannot do business with you.

Concealed handgun licensees are among the most law-abiding citizens in our state. We have passed a rigorous investigation by local, state and federal authorities. We have never had any felony convictions or any misdemeanor convictions in the last 10 years. We have been trained in handgun safety. We have been fingerprinted and documented. We have done this at our own expense.

Heck, read that last paragraph…are you telling us that you DON’T want those folks in your establishment?

I have earned the license to carry a concealed handgun. I will not do business when any establishment that casts a negative shadow on those of us that chooses the option of being able to defend ourselves.

You see; we are the good guys. We are the law-abiding citizens that you want in your establishment.

There is not an increased safety risk by allowing concealed handguns. We are trained to handle these weapons. The perceived risk is merely a perception…a false perception. On the contrary – we inherently provide a safer environment.

For these reasons, I, and my family, and numerous friends and acquaintances are not going to do business with you. We will choose an environment that does not limit our freedoms.

I will do my best to note your choice at any website that tracks businesses that post the 30.06 statue.
