"The information that they have given us, and through their commanders is that they did stray accidentally into Iranian waters due to a navigation error," Carter said in a television interview with Univision at U.S. Southern Command in Miami.

"So that seems to be the original cause of this, according to the interviews that we have done," Carter added...
Initial indications from U.S. officials were that a mechanical failure was to blame.

Yet both boats were able to exit the area once the sailors were released, raising questions about that explanation.
Because that's exactly what this shameless media, along with their boss Tweed love to do.
He was set out to "fundamentally transform America", remember?
Everything is upside down, a snow globe world.

What is amazing me is how much like little kids they are when it comes to lying. Even though they cookie crumbs around their mouths they still say they didn't eat the cookies. When you point out the cookie crumbs, they then say the cookie exploded in the cookie jar and the crumbs landed on his face around his mouth. Then they wait a day or two and everyone seems to move on.

We are living in a bizarro world.

Re: 2 Navy Boats in Iranian Custody

Parabelum, One of the craziest things our government does is send troops into hostile or near hostile territory with strict orders not to fire or defend themselves. It is a shame so e of the situations our people are put in.

I pray that our Nation turns around and seeks wisdom from above.

I promise you, our fathers, grandfathers and great grandfathers are rolling in their graves wondering what is going on and for what did they fight. It's amazing how much damage can be done in a generation or two.

Re: 2 Navy Boats in Iranian Custody

I probably shouldn't be so cynical but the timing of this just raises some questions in my mind. Add to it that one boat didn't tow the other. The big hoopla about how the Iranians captured them where they weren't supposed to be and then turned them over with a warning that we are pushing our luck (my words not a quote). To me it just fits Obama's narrative of us being the bad guys and everyone else are the good guys that the US owes and apology to.

It just doesn't pass the smell test to me.

Re: 2 Navy Boats in Iranian Custody

Powerboatr, Are you saying it is common we enter into their waters or come close regularly and have been doing it for a while? Is it that we are testing or taunting them? I am very interested in learning more about this and what is actually going on. The idea of mechanical failure and both boats drifting near the island like that just seems a little fishy to me. Would be interested in what you can share.

Re: 2 Navy Boats in Iranian Custody

I hope both of you are right on this. We do not need to escalate tensions any more than they are already.
