Re: Creepy Guy Eyeballed My Dog
One thing I've learned is that if you are creeped out, there is a good reason. Normal social interactions do not result in instinctive survival/physiological responses such as a adrenaline or fight/flight. Trust your instincts! You did good by staying alert and aware of your surroundings. Brava!

Take off the pants entirely, like George Costanza. The shirt for that matter too.

That's my holster too. Love it. Especially for the price. CTD had it for under $40 if I recall.ghostrider wrote:I've carried a double stack 5" Para 45ACP in one of these:

Re: Motorcycle carry need advice
CC should be fairly easy if you ride with all the safety gear, as every motorcyclist should. I know its hot but having skin is still more comfortable than sweating through your gear. With all the gear, there are many pockets which you can carry small pistols in. Shoulder holster is another option. I...

Are the grips painted or powder coated? If they are powder coated, they are probably pretty durable.

This is why I don't keep a shell in the chamber of my shotguns unless I'm walking a field, about to say 'pull', or hear some suspicious sounds at night.

Don't take my word for it but...
Parking garages are not "premises". You will not be arrested/prosecuted or expelled for legally storing legal weapons in your vehicle at a public university in Texas. If they are stored properly, then no one will ever know anyways.

Re: 1911 4" vs 5" barrell
Get the gun you want and become proficient with it. You'll be happier and spend less money. And there is really no detectable difference between barrel lengths in my experience. May consider 185 gr SD rounds (I prefer 185 golden sabers) in a short barrel but to each his own. What grain weight do yo...
