The Salvation Army hit the ground running in Galveston after Hurricane Ike. They were all over the Island with their mobil kitchens serving up hot meals to anyone who wanted one. I believe for free. Their store on Broadway was swamped but they are in the process of renovating it. They do good things and deserve donations regardless of this policy on marriage. imho
