It's only fair!

You should see what all AZ and NV blame on him! OR and UT, too!

Really. He didn't even mention the shoulder thing that goes up!

Gotta watch those deadly bullet buttons.

Well, it wasn't as bad as I expected. Not sure what the "auto button" thing is he was talking about. I've been looking all morning for mine and can't find it. Of course, guys spend years looking for the elusive "fun button" on women and sometimes can't ever find it either.

I'm sure other people than myself are also tired of hearing about how Sean Hannity is a "Marksman". Well, last night he and the NYPD detective "Bo" were on and BOTH were talking about changing "clips" in their guns. Made my skin crawl.

But as for news guys, this wasn't so bad. I remember reading in the paper in 1990 about the reporting seeing the F-18 take off with its "thruster-boosters". At least this guy kind of tried to point out that it isn't an assault rifle in its native state!! Kudos to him for that!

Finally, if these thugs would watch a few gun videos on YouTube they'd really crap themselves. Watch the video where Jerry keeps up with a guy with a slide fire stock. I think they clocked in around 450 rpm. Who needs full auto when you can legally get a Geissele 3-gun trigger or slide fire stock? Ohhhh what the liberals don't know!
He was talking about how modifying a rifle by the addition of a "bullet button" would turn it into a legal fully automatic rifle, which is of course, hogwash. A "bullet button" is a California (only?) item that replaces the AR-15 magazine release button. With a bullet button installed, you have to use the point of a bullet, or some other tool, to remove the magazine. It's a way to get around their crazy laws.
It's a loophole! Please give it the dignitude it merits.

Before some genius figured this out, we in CA were essentially barred the possession and use of "assault rifles" named by make and model as well as by defined "evil features."

The statute had this loophole, if the magazine could be released only by using a tool, like a bullet, you could have a rifle with evil features.

I built one with a bullet button, and removed it when I left CA, although not actually while on the bridge to Yuma.

"The biggest problem is that it was a gun-free zone," said Get Loaded owner Terry McGuire, 49, a bald, burly guy who looks as though he would be right at home among the many cops and deputies to whom he caters. "You aren't allowed to carry guns into county buildings."

I know we all new in our hearts it was a "gun free zone"

I believe this was from a piece in the LA times which is kind of remarkable.
All of California is essentially a gun free zone, outside ones home or place of business, or a gun range.

You can't carry a weapon except hunting or to a range, and it must be locked in your trunk, or locked in a container inside your vehicle.

You can get a CCW permit in some counties. There were 3 issued in San Francisco as of 2011. I had been under the impression there were close to 2,000 of us in San Diego, but the study I saw as of 2011 said 776. LA had 406 permits. San Bernardino had 1804. The most in any county was Kern with 4134. There were 37,475 possible active permits as of Seprenber, 2011 in the state, with a population of 37,259,000 as of 2010. IOW virtually nobody can legally carry a gun in California. This doesn't count Julio in the barrio and his gangbanging buddies who don't give a flip what the law permits or requires.

I had a permit when I lived there. I was a lawyer, real estate broker and business owner, and had had a few death threats. Getting the permit cost more than $500, took quite a few months, several interviews with Sheriff underlings of various dignitudes, 3 of my long time friends had to furnish letters as did my favorite wife and the Boards of Directors of the several corporations I was associated with. I had to complete a weekend of training and pass a shooting test with each of the 3 pistols I could have on my permit, listed by make, model and serial no. I could carry ONLY these pistols. If I had 2 identical pistols, different serial numbers of course, one of which was listed on my permit, carrying the non-listed one was a felony.

As best as I recall now, only courts, airports and bars were off limits. There is no sign law, etc.
