I live in Houston! I want open carry. In fact I want national reciprocity!
Oh now the liberals are all for local control.

Local control. Really? And how many other statutes should be done likewise? Or is it just the ones he doesn't like?

Re: HB910 on House Calendar for 3rd Reading
The answer to all of this could not be any easier: "the State Constitution gives the Legislature the authority to regulate the wearing of arms. I will not relinquish or delegate that authority to the counties, the cities, or to anyone else. I move to table."

Re: HB910 on House Calendar for 3rd Reading
Anchea says he has not heard from a single person in his district that wants it. Thats because he doesnt listen. My office is in his district and he actually stopped by during the election and introduced himself. I expressed my view on this as well as other issues he is against. Therefore its not that he hasn't heard, it that he hasn't listened.

Who wants this bill?
Who voted for this bill?
Why is this bill here now?
Why are we talking about this now?
Why should we have this?
grrrrrrrrrrrr
Voters have a right to decide whether they want open carry or not!

Re: HB910 on House Calendar for 3rd Reading
So using his logic, if rural Texas creates a movement to be exempt from standardized testing, these clowns would refrain from voting? Are we making two separate standards now, depending on whether one lives in a city of 750,000 or not? Is that guy serious?

Oh now we are saying. Hey what does it matter? Just when you come to the city just conceal carry! Just leave it in your car! We are not taking away anybody's guns! Just don't carry in the cities!

So what is this 3rd amendment we're voting on now?
I'll quit carrying a gun when they make murder and armed robbery illegal
