When is the end of the day as far as the House is concerned? Would like to tune back in.

The amendment is a good one; it's worth the wait. There may be more bad ones, but they won't be adopted.

Perhaps move the date of enactment from Sept 1 to January 1 to agree with Senate?

I took it to mean they are still working on finalizing amendment 18.

Thanks for keeping us posted Charles. It gets challenging figuring out what is going on from the outside. I think a lot of us are leery of the booger that may jump out at any time.

I'd guessed as much since the bill's author requested the extra time... can't wait to see what rabbit comes out of the hat later today!

For sure. I keep thinking about this:
I guess I can't have a link...

I'm praying for removal of restricted places. That's very germane and needed in my opinion.

Hat trick in the making????

That's already been voted on favorably. It would take another amendment to change it now.

It has to be something bigger than that, and bigger than the implementation date. HB308 would be lovely, if there is 4/5s support for it. I haven't reread it lately, but IIRC it also covers campus carry. It would be lovely to see the anti's heads explode if it went forward. It would regenerate a fight in the Senate, because the whole bill will have to go through the Senate as well.

I suspect it is something lesser than that tho. Would love to be wrong. ;-)

ROFL, I just spit water all over my notebook. "Is Mr Stickland a coauthor of this bill?" "No Mr. Stickland is not a coauthor of this bill." "Mr. Speaker this is a good bill." Edit to add this was during the hazing of Rep. Wray on HB2419

Okay, then my guess is to ensure that the change in penalty from class A misdemeanor to Class C for walking past a 30.06 sign will apply to both 30.06 and 30.07 signs.
