The laws that forbid the carrying of arms... disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes.

Dallas Police Association President Ron Pinkston, who supported that bill, questioned Adelman’s motives in a mostly sarcastic Facebook post. He also noted that Adelman did not ask about how Thongrivong was doing.
