Just got my CHL, so I figured I'd sign up to show the phenomenal "wait time" I had.

CHL Class completed: March 14
Application and documents Submitted: March 14
Fingerprints Taken: March 20
License received: April 2

I was expecting at least another couple of weeks!

Just to clarify, you check your status by logging into the chl app site and looking for an option besides applying for the instructors license, correct?

Yes, that's how you know when your status has changed. Caught me by surprise when I saw it. I had to do a double take.

I took my grandfather, father, mother, younger brother and a co-worker with me, and several of us have submitted the paperwork on the same days so we shall see who gets their license first.
I broke down and sent an email asking if they had received all my documents and what the status was. After reading so many posts of folks getting their licenses in two to three weeks I had convinced myself that I'd see a status update on Tuesday or Wednesday and now I'm bummed it's Friday and haven't heard anything. I regret not mailing my form in after reading about all the emails lost in space too. :waiting:

Dont feel so bad, I sent in my app & all supporting docs back in Feb 19th, broke down & called on March 12th & was told that they started processing & background checks on Feb 26th.

Hi y'all, I turned my stuff in on March 14 and status change on 4/6 and still no plastic. I also live 20 miles from houston so I don't know what the holdup is. Anyone else experience long delivery time?

My status change on march 11th and didn't receive license til 4/6. It definitely CAN take awhile to receive plastic after approval. :banghead:

I haven't heard back from the email but my status miraculously changed the day after emailing them. Sqeeky wheel gets the grease maybe?

Now I'm with the group waiting for the mailman.

I'm new to the forum and just want to say it's great to have a place with people who understand the frustration of waiting.
