Is it ok to carry in a bank?

Had to go in and make a sizeable cash deposit today and I was carrying at the time.

I always thought banks were one of the best places to carry.

I carry every time I go and do banking sinse I got my CHL.
No signs at Chase.

The only time my branch manager complains is when she gives me a hug and accidentally smacks her hand reaching around my waist. I tell her it's a subliminal message for her to get her CHL.

OK at Bank of America too......just don't try to use your CHL as a "Form of State Issued ID"


They just don't get it. I tried to explain to the Branch Manager at my bank (after a vigorous conversation with a teller) and it was going right over her head. Scary to think that these are the people in control of my money.

DPS actually won't accept it as a primary or secondary form of identification either...Only as a supporting document.

Yeah. You'd think that with a full set of fingerprints and a background check, a CHL would be a *better* proof of identity than a driver's license or id card. <Shrug />

It's nice to see that a CHL holds the same value for ID as an expired DL, or even a temporary card w/ no picture.

My bank is good to carry in. Robbed at gun point about a yr ago now.
There is not an employee there that has ever seen me unarmed or knows that I am.

Nope no posting. It was Bank of America. I hate dealing with them but they are just so convenient.

I seem to remember that Wacovia was unfriendly, and the one in Southlake attempted 30.06..

Never had a problem at my bank or any branch I can think of for that matter. Again as long as 30.06 isnt posted its ok. And if I did see a bank with a 30.06 sign that would worry the heck out of me! Definatley would not get my cash!

This really makes no sense. Your DL or State ID number is also on the CHL.
