Narricism. We are all suppose to feel a deep loss while she spits on our culture, because she is just sooo important.

I don't know who it was but she must have been from MDA with the way she threw around her being a mom as if it makes her opinion more important than any other citizen of Texas. I'm sorry but I'm really fed up with these groups treating my opinion as inferior because I can only be a "dad".

I did enjoy seeing the senators look very agitated at the 'I trust my kids but I don't trust them to be a part of a marketing ploy' but she isn't leading the charge against coke machines on campus.

She also said that most CHL holders are primarily old men, and I had to laugh because I know quite a few people sub 30 (including myself) with one and we would really like campus carry to pass.

Interesting, the lady about to leave Texas because we're gun nuts. I swear she said there weren't any states that allowed open carry, or were considering it.

I must be so uninformed. :headscratch

Very interesting. I don't think I've ever actually watched this process. I'm happy with the
way it was conducted, and feel very positive about the proceedings. Thanks to ALL who took
the time to be there and make their voices heard. God Bless Texas.

It sounds like Chairman Huffman is going to vote the bills today rather than delay it for Sen. Z's amendments.

Due to work issues, I was only able to listen to the last 45 mins or so. Those of you that were able to listen to most of the hearing, what are your opinions as to which way the wind is blowing?

I thought that also, but being a total novice at this stuff, I was sure I was mistaken in some way!

Both bills will be voted out of committee favorably. Most of the testimony was what one would expect with a few good surprises. There were no bad surprises, because we knew the dire predictions we heard in 1995 and in 2007 would be repeated.

That's exactly what I was thinking. We heard the same garbage last session.

Haven't you heard? University/college is supposed to be a safe comfy multi-cultural diverse place where no one ever says anything that the university doesn't approve of, or makes you uncomfortable, never mind "stressed." Hence "trigger warnings", expelling boys without due process, cancelling tenure for conservative professors, etc.
Not to mention being a money pit - our taxes, lottery, tuition, etc.
Life is good.

Gotta say it was definitely interesting watching one of these. I have never actually watched this process before so thank you for posting that link.

It sounded like most of the teachers, that testified, expect their chl students to turn the classroom into a blood bath...
