I have to admit, I was stereotyping, but I did not expect the blind woman to come out in favor of campus carry !

Interesting how the Sheriffs have a different opinion than the chiefs of police. Hhhhmmmmm.

Some of the opponents' comments sound to me like they're against concealed carry period. On or off campus.Jasonw560 wrote:What I wanted someone to ask Acevedo is "so, you are for CHL holders and yet against campus carry. Tell me, what would happen between the time he was getting a burger at Spanky's and walking across the street to the Texas Tech campus that would make a CHL holder such a menace?" (insert appropriate Austin landmark by UT if needed)

I realize that. It was sarcastic. That's what the "hhhhmmmmmhhhhmmmmm" indicated.

I never realized how scared Anti's sound. The last lady thinks that switching from concealed to open carry would all of sudden make us unsafe.

They see no advantage to having guns on campus. Other than lower crime numbers and less victims, I guess he means. So much straw in these anti-'s arguments I could feed a ranch full of horses for a year.

Unfortunately most are simply looking for their 15 seconds of fame and are truly looking for their time in the limelight IMO.Ipconfig wrote:I also never realized how many groups there are trying to protect my right to 2A. Where did all these guys come from?

But they aren't sitting next to a gun. Heaven forbid open carry passes because THEN there would be a gun there!!! Run for the hills!SewTexas wrote:I like the fact that these people are sitting next to each other. do you suppose these MDA ladies realize they are sitting next to a GUN

Yes, they are probably sitting next to a gun. Concealed carry is allowed there.joelamosobadiah wrote:But they aren't sitting next to a gun. My comment was directed at the entire premise of the anti's that this bill will magically introduce more guns into the public realm rather than just making them visible.mojo84 wrote:Yes, they are probably sitting next to a gun.
