Sounds like Campus Carry is a done deal, at least in the Senate. The chancellors are (very reasonably) asking for consideration for extenuating circumstances such as situations that might run afoul of Federally funded programs, etc.

I don't buy making daycare off limits, but the "asks" seem at least reasonable so far.

I can't believe Birdwell, Estes, or any of the other "pro" Senators haven't asked about daycare problems to date...shooting that one right out of the water and making it a non-issue.

Did I hear correctly that my Arlington police chief endorsed the open carry bill? I had to step out of the room and missed it. :grumble

It sounded like he wasn't opposed to licensed to open carry at least he didn't make a good case against it.
