I think that people most likely voted along party lines that indicate disapproval of the current president much more than they went shopping for anti-gun-control candidates... but that's just my theory.
A win is a win, right?

However, if you think it's going to change the current gridlock that is the federal government, you're much more optimistic than I am.

And in West Virginia, NRA-endorsed Shelley Moore Capito (R) won, marking the first time that state has sent a Republican Senator to Washington DC in over five decades.

If one small microcosm of our country (Colorado) chooses to demonstrate what many of us believe to be true (i.e. registration leads to confiscation), then at least it is isolated in one place - and - it proves our point. It will boost our side of the argument across the rest of the country. All those 'fence sitters' who own guns but don't want to take sides may finally wake up.

They will tell you that to try to sell you into giving up just a little bit more of your rights. Taking your guns away right now wouldn't work. It wouldn't pass. But if they can whittle away slowly, soon that's all they will have left to do. Then after the guns, they will go after other defensive tools like knives. Just look at the UK and Australia. Thankfully we have the good people at the NRA and other similar organizations fighting for our Constitutionally protected right to keep and bear arms.

I agree.....would love to see house to house confiscation in some state like CT or MA. I don't think they're that stupid, but if they are, they'll set the gun control movement back decades.
