Maybe Charles can recommend some, I do not need one now and hopefully I never will. I would like to have a few in mind in the unfortunate event that I would need one someday in case I ever have to defend my life.

I don't know of anyone in Austin, but I'm going to post the name and contact numbers of the attorney that helped with the legal seminar we did a few months ago. He could probably make a referral, but to be honest, if I were needing him for a self-defense shooting, I hire him and let him travel to Austin.Kalrog wrote:Charles,
Do you have anyone out of Austin (or better yet, Georgetown / Leander) that you would recomend? Or do you drive if needed? Same situation - just a CYA thing.
I'm a civil trial attorney and I presume you want a criminal attorney. If someone gets sued over a self-defense shooting I can help, but that will come later in the process.
Regards,
Chas.

Charles...
I sense a real good thing when I see a lot of people looking at the legal side of self-defense in regards to carrying a firearm for that purpose...
I want to thank you, Derek and all, again, for the information and advise ya'll put out at that seminar...

Several years ago, I took a class at UT that was taught by Bruce Fox. I believe he still has an office in Austin. I would certainly use him.Kalrog wrote:Charles,

But seriously, I'm interested in this also...well, a gun defense attorney. [Pre-paid legal service], I think it was, was introduced to us at my CHL class. I came on here, and a few people said good things, and a few said bad...I think the ones who said bad, had never used em though.
