AR15 80% Lower Group Buy Survey
Trying to gauge interest in an AR15 80% lower group buy. If you're interested please answer the poll. Once I have a rough estimate of how many lowers people might be interested in I can get some details together.
If it worked out I can host one or several build days (I provide tools and jigs) at my home near Austin.
This is only to gauge interest! I don't have any dates, manufacturers or pricing at this time!

Re: AR15 80% Lower Group Buy Survey
I've been interested but was born with 2 left thumbs. I'm not sure I'm capable of finishing one out but I'd like to, especially if it was some afternoon so I could drive over from Houston in the morning. Depending on cost I'd be interested in attempting to do 1.
It's fine if you disagree. I can't force you to be correct.

I'm north of Austin, about 2 hours from Brownwood.TxLobo wrote:I'm interested in the concept, but you may be a bit far to drive down and finish one out.
It's dead simple to do. As long as you can follow instructions you can finish an 80% lower. Drill some holes, a little light machining, and you've got a lower. I might even have a CNC mill by the time this is done, so you'd just have to set up the jigs and press start.LDB415 wrote:I've been interested but was born with 2 left thumbs. I'm definitely interested, I've wanted to do this for a while but don't know anyone with the tools or the knowledge. Sounds fun!

Would depend on cost and timing for me, but, I'd be interested in 1.

Any rough estimate on cost yet? Not to be held to of course but just an idea for those (me) who have no idea what we're looking at.

so maybe I should have replied:
To participate in this endeavor and by endeavor meaning "group buy", before I make a rational decision, I would need to know the price of the item in the group buy and the expediency of receiving the aforementioned products.
nah,
Would depend on cost and timing for me, but, I'd be interested in 2.

I haven't chosen a product yet, but I'm hoping to get them in the neighborhood of $50-$60 each.LDB415 wrote:Any rough estimate on cost yet? Not to be held to of course but just an idea for those (me) who have no idea what we're looking at.
