Wallet

Sorry it seems like I'm posting a lot of questions but I want to do this right. So here's the question, what kinda wallet do you use? Lately I've been using an old leather wallet that's falling apart and didn't know if there is one that is better and long lasting.

Thanks folks

I strongly recommend that you employ some sort of RFID blocking wallet if you use any cards at all. You'd be amazed how easy it is to steal key facets of your identity by simply walking near you with an RFID reader.

These walletswill help protect you from this.

I travel extensively, and I use both an RFID blocking wallet, and a similar one for my passport.
Your best option for personal security is a lifelong commitment to avoidance, deterrence, and de-escalation.
When those fail, aim for center mass.

I've had bifolds and trifolds and have stayed with bifolds the last 15 years or so. I don't put way too much stuff in them, but do put a little more than I should and it gets a little thick. That's one of the reasons I have stayed with the bifold and try to empty out the junk (receipts) often.

I've had leather and nylon and have stayed with leather the last 15+ years. I just like the look and feel of leather better.

I have the bifold version of this one that I'm using right now. http://www.nrastore.com/nrastore/Produc ... I+433&ct=e

I like the idea of an RFID blocking wallet, but haven't found one that I like. However, this one was not available when I bought the other one or I probably would have gotten it.

I find when I want to buy a wallet, I will spend 1/2 hour or more looking through various wallets. I know my wife hates that, so notify her before I go, so she can choose to go with me, knowing in advance my goal, or she can do her own thing!

I always get bi-fold, as tri-fold is thicker and uncomfortable

I consider:
will it fit my credit / debit / and other "member" cards (normally I get a wallet with at least 8 slots)?
is there a slot for my license to "flip" out of, or to be seen through a plastic section?
Does the license slide easily out of this section?
I do not get change holders, and absolutely hate when there is a divider in the money section.
I always test, will the money fit in there length and height. Believe it or not, I recently bought a wallet, and the money stuck out! just a smidge, but irritated me.
I always test, do credit cards actually fit in the slots, I have had them where once you put a card in one or 2 slots, you could not get a card in the 3rd or 4th slot.

You might also consider a front pocket wallet. These are shaped to fit in a front pocket and not roll around. You'll have to Google to see what I mean. When I started traveling overseas, my wife gave me one to protect against pickpockets. I have never looked back. It is so much more comfortable than sitting on a back pocket wallet.

If you are in the Houston area, there is an older gentleman that sells wallets at the area gun shows for about $10 each. I have been using them for the last 4 or 5 years. They are nice leather wallets and last just as long as other store bought ones I used to use. If you just want a basic leather wallet, I would strongly suggest looking him up. I can't remember if I got a business card or not. I will look.

If I wore a suit or sport jacket more I always wanted one like this to keep in the inside breast pocket.

My use of a wallet is to carry my credit cards, sams/costco membership cards, ID cards, and insurance cards exclusively. I don't carry cash in a wallet, I use a money clip. I am very happy with the hand made leather card case shown in this link. The price was right as well. https://www.etsy.com/listing/165560404/ ... ref=market

I got one of these not too long ago. " onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I came close to getting one like Jules Winnfield's, but wasn't so sure of how that might go when searched at work. I kinda doubt that most of my coworkers would get the reference.

I've been looking into RFID wallets and so far everyone I've reviewed failed to pass the RFID test.

One brand seemed to be the one I'd buy, (Access Denied) until I read a review that one purchaser said the RFID failed his test.

So, I'm still looking.

I'd be willing to spend up to $75/100, but I won't spend a .05 cents until I find one that actually works as claimed.

If any of you know one that absolutely will pass the RFID test, I'd be mighty appreciative.
