Looking for a new CCW holster
I am hoping someone can help me find my perfect holster (there are sooo many out there). I currently have a Remora IWB with the sweat shield and for the most part, I like it, but a couple of days ago I was standing around talking with some friends and my gun and holster hit the floor. I wear cargo shorts in the summer and the whole rig just lost its grip and slid down my thigh and out the bottom. >THUMP< Turns out I don't really like the sticky material against my skin so I slip it between my shorts and my under-roos. The Remora material is not nearly as good at sticking to material. Looks like I need a clip.
I am looking for an IWB holster that has a clip that either swivels or holds the barrel pointed aft at 45 degrees and has some sort of sweat guard that puts a layer of material between me and the grip. Anybody seen anything like that?
Dave

Does anyone know of a trick to help me remember the word 'mnemonic'?

Try the Comp-Tac Infidel Ultra. I have one for an M&P Shield if you are interested. Fits most of the specs you outlined.
My only complaint is that I believe they are 1/4" inch thicker than they need to be but not a deal stopper.
Let me know and I can post a pic later with the gun in holster so you can get an idea. If you were in the Houston/Woodlands area I'd hand it off to you so you could try it out.
ETA: I posted because I get the impression you likely don't wear a belt and your IWB options are a bit limited without a belt. I do however get away with wearing the Infidel Ultra without a belt on occasion since it has only the single clip.
If you are going to wear a belt, this one gets high marks http://aliengearholsters.com/holsters/s ... tband.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: Looking for a new CCW holster
OP, for what gun? Do you need to be able to tuck a shirt in at times?
May want to take a look at Alien Gear and Crossbreed. There are many others so you could search for "hybrid iwb holsters". I don't mind the leather backing of these against my skin. Others feel differently.
I use my Remora for a temporary holster in my vehicle when I have to leave my gun there. Shortly after I got my Remora, I experienced some sweat, either from my body or from condensation, that build up in my Remora one day. When I removed it at the end of the day, I notice little rust spot scattered around on my hi-power. I wasn't happy about that. That's when I bought my Crossbreed.

I wish I could help but I haven't found a lot of holsters that have a barrier between the grip and the body.AlgoaAggie91 wrote:...that puts a layer of material between me and the grip. Anybody seen anything like that?

This is my favorite holster of all time and will probably solve a lot of your other problems though.

You might take a look at the Remora "Tuckable" which has a clip and available with full sweat shield http://www.remoraholsterstore.com/tucka ... s/4189.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I would recommend looking at a Kholster, but Jimmy has shut it down and gone out of business - I liked his holster because of the full coverage of gun with the Crescent, Little Moon or Full Moon - unfortunately, no more. Other than Remora, not sure where you can get the full coverage. I prefer the full in our Texas weather or I either go OWB belt or paddle, un-tucked shirt.

Hidden Hybrid Holsters. Most comfortable holster I've ever worn. Comes with clips and loops.
