Well I'm new to all the process and it's going to be interesting how long it's going to take to get my plastic. Well I took the class on July 27 and put the application in on Aug 2 and finger prints and my CHL 100 which I had to email to a supervisor because the web page wouldn't take it. Well all I hear I bet it wil be a while before I see my plastic. All my stuff was done in Austin and I'm living right out side Austin Tx. What do y'all think

There's no real guideline unfortunately, but DPS seems to be processing faster. A few of us received our license in under 2 weeks. I got mine in 10 days. You can go on https://txapps.texas.gov/txapp/txdps/chl/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; under returning uses & check your status. When you have the options to change address - report lost or stolen license, that means it's on its way to you. Hope this helps & good luck!

Course: 8/1/2014
Application submitted: Online later that night
Fingerprints submitted: 8/6/2014

Contacted RSD 8/14/2014 concerning letter received in the mail regarding issues with the fingerprinting. Issue was determined to be resolved and I was then notified that the plastic was mailed on 8/11/2014.

Now I play the waiting game with USPS.

I went online to check my status yesterday and it said that if I'd just submitted my application to give it a while. Well, I submitted my app about two weeks ago and some are reporting getting their license in that amount of time. Do you think it is a safe bet that mine is already completed processing and in the mail, hence no update? Or should I inquire about why i cant get a status update two weeks later?

Submitted application about 3 weeks ago along with fingerprints.
Submitted CHL-100 last Sunday morning.
This morning I have not seen any status updates, but it is showing the "Change Information": Address, report lost or stolen card, etc. Does this mean it might already be on the way?

That seems to be the general consensus. Congratulations!

Well my plastic came today and did the wally walk. It was very interesting. At first was I walked in the door I felt everyone was looking at me. I did the top shelf thing and bent over to the bottom shelf. I went to the longest line pushing my basket and nothing. The only thing I got carded and not thinking handed my chl plastic and the girl looked at me funny. She asked if I was packing. I told her well maybe I am and maybe I'm not that's none of your business. She smiled at me said well more chl people like you make me feel safer.:

Congrats. I keep my DL and my CHL on opposite sides of my wallet to keep that from happening.

I just wanted to come in here and update, mine came like a day after I posted. My total wait time from when the last form was submitted until it arrived at my house was roughly 10 business days.
