Walther CCP
Has anybody had a chance to handle/shoot a CCP yet?

If so, what are you thoughts?
I've been thinking about picking up a Walther PPS, but the new CCP has me intrigued.

Re: Walther CCP
No haven't seen a ccp yet but just looking at the specs it is definitely wider, taller and longer then the Pps. Looks more like the size of the pk380. I wonder what it will go for? Pps is one of the best for single stack polymers!

Re: Walther CCP
The Walther link seems to characterize their system as "ported". Am I correct here?
Their writeup sounds good, but when you have a ported pistol doesn't the hot gas from the fired
cartridge end up in your face?
I have surfed the Walther site before, looking over their pistols.
One thing that stands out to me on their site is that they list the trigger pull in pounds for each pistol.
5.5 pounds from the factory would seem to be very sweet (SA mode).
Is Walther fairly unique in listing the trigger pull on all their handguns? TIA.

Re: Walther CCP
Looks like the 21st Century version of the HK P7. Interesting gun. I'd like to see it in action.

The CCP has been pushed back again. Not sure when it will be released.

Guess I'll be forced (forced! I tell ya) to look for that PPS. An excuse to hit the gun show at Reliant Center weekend after next?

Re: Walther CCP
That's rather odd since Walther has been spending their advertising money to promote it.FormerTSgt wrote:The CCP has been pushed back again. Not sure when it will be released.

Re: Walther CCP
The port is on the inside of the gun and diverts gases to a chamber in the slide area that somehow reduces felt recoil.....shows it on their animated diagram......unless I'm completely wrong and need another cup of coffee....
