I still eat at Chipotle and shop at Target. Both companies were backed into a corner by the scared moms and in large part thanks to Derp-en Carry Texas.

I saw a news story on this wherein a lady being interviewed for OCT noted that Target's comments will not keep out CHLs unless they post a 30.06 sign. The station showed a picture of one to give an example of what sign she was talking about. THANKS for throwing us under the bus, OCT, just because you are told to stop coming in. I have really gotten sick and tired of these self important media addicts. Honestly, if the legislature wants to pass a law against the open carry of long guns in city limits, I will support it. Now that is SAD when a group becomes so obnoxious even gun enthusiasts find themselves wanting a gun law to stop them.

That wasn't the result of ignorance; it had to be intentional. If she knows enough about Texas law to make that statement, then she knew her statement would be detrimental to concealed-carry.

Comes across as "if I can't they shouldn't be able to either". Childish and moronic at the least.

Agree, it is sad when the best way to stop these idiots might be to outlaw exactly what they want. Solely to prevent them from setting back the real progress of the last nearly 2 decades.

My store has always had a gunbuster sign. So I have always felt welcome.

Hope this does not change.
I never saw any gun signs at Target except the blue sign required because they sell wine but if that changes I respectfully request Target to kiss my grits.

Target's message was to shut down the crazies that are taking over their business for politics...it wasn't intended for me :tiphat:
The only way they can remove that sign without breaking the law themselves is to stop selling all alcoholic products. I don't understand your point. The two things seem unrelated to me.

It's for an unlicensed weapon and being that we're all here on this forum, I'd imagine all of us are or will soon be licensed.

So true!!! When I get my license, I will certainly shop at Target with my secret little peace of mind secured at my hip. Now if the DPS could please go ahead and mail it.... :)

P.S. I've been meaning to tell you....I love your signature!!!!

I'm sure I'm not the only one to think the open carry types are anti-gun people in disguise.

Not all of course, as there "useful idiots" in every group...

Some background checks of the leadership is in order.

I have also considered that, but there are still some folks that can't see the forest due to all those trees being in the way.

You think that's bad. The local news interviewed the manager of our local range here and he happily told them that only a 30.06 sign stops CHLs and continued to tell them where to get one and how to post it. I just stared at the TV dumbfounded. Gee, thanks a pantload genious! :banghead:
