I like the web site stattus of each step rather than the old "Manufactoring"

This is the thing that is so frustrating... There should be no "luck" involved.

It should be a straight serial process. Obviously you can get detoured by lengthy background checks or missing documents... But the should start sequentially.

I talked to the folks at DPS on Friday. My May 02 app is getting close to being entered according to him. So in other words they are still entering April and just getting to May applicants currently.

Now, I don't for a minute believe this. I am obviously being lied to. And the evidence sits right here... How does a June applicant get processed in front of a May?

I would suggest if you do call the CHL office to be very polite and not rude. As we all know, who likes to speak to someone that it is upset and taking their frustrations out on the employee. If you have to complain, complain to your state senator or rep as they can do more with the complaint than the person at the office.

:iagree:
Every time I've called I've been very polite. I've always gotten the info I called seeking and was never told to call back later.

I called one time they told me they had my fingerprints and app and were waiting on my documents...I called 15 days later and I was told I was calling "far too early" and that was that...I wish I had something, anything

That's good to hear ( I think... ) Sent My Docs in 6/20 and got the "received" on 6/23. Reading the horror stories on the waiting times doesn't give Me any confidence. Seems waiting times are so random (?)

A friend of mine just got his CHL a few days ago, after waiting for around 3 weeks I think he said.
