so the wait has begun...well in my mind the wait is cut in half because I work up in Alaska 2 wks on 2 wks off..haha..

well I'll be... checked my status last nite and everything is checked green, mfg pending. Less than 30 days...Ill take that...What sucks is I head back to Alaska on Wed and wont be back til July 11th...

Hello everybody, I've been following this thread for awhile now and finally decided to jump on board. To everyone who received their chl in timely manner congratulations, to everyone else I feel your pain.

At the moment website still showing waiting for required materials. I have called, and was told they have all the documents, they just have to enter it into their system. The frustrating part is why some people get an update on the site in a couple days, while others wait a month plus with nothing.

checked late last nite and now switched to mfg... slim possibility it gets here before I leave on Wed for 2 wks... oh well..Under 30 days is still decent in my book.

This is depressing seeing all of these people who submitted their documents weeks, even a month after I submitted mine, getting updates and even getting their plastic, while my wife and I have emailed and called, and nothing!!!

kebn51, have you considered uploading all supporting documents via their website? https://www.txdps.state.tx.us/rsd/contact/chl.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Before you hit "submit form" be sure you hit "attach" (between 'choose file' and 'submit form' ...I missed this step my first time trying to sub the docs and had to go back the next day, once I realized what I missed).
I think if I were in your shoes I would re-sub all the documents via the link/their website above. Good luck whatever you choose to do!

Mtnthundr2, actually I have considered it, and I promise I'm usually pretty optimistic, but my fear is as soon as I submit them again online this time, that the clock will start over. I know that is extremely pessimistic, but that is just my luck. My wife and I are currently at 52 days and I figured if we don't have an update by day 60, we will re-submit online. I have spoken with and employee at DPS and he says, the fingerprints are good and they show that everything has been received with the exception of the documents I mailed in which are the checklist and CHL-100. I asked if I should re-submit and he said there was no reason to do that. That it's probably just in the "Pile." He said, just give it another week and there should be an update on the website.

I'm glad you were able to talk with someone at DPS, last I knew you hadn't been able to get ahold of anyone .....maybe the fact that you spoke with someone will speed things along now

Current status still as of 6/23/14 :

Application processed online. Concealed Handgun Licensing is waiting on the receipt of required materials. Once the application and materials have been received by Concealed Handgun Licensing and processing has begun, a more detailed status will appear on this page.

Will just keep waiting and update if anything new comes up LOL
