Has anyone besides myself not received any notification of receipt of any kind after submitting all their documents? I applied online 4/23 and it was noted online that I had applied. Fingerprints submitted on 4/29. All the rest of the documentation submitted 5/7, along with a request to let me know if they were received. Not a peep of any kind to let me know whether or not my documents were received. Silence. :rules: :headscratch
4/23/14 -- applied online; 4/29/14 -- electronic fingerprints.
5/7/14 -- docs uploaded on chl site; 5/13/14 -- docs mailed.
9/5/14 -- plastic arrived in the mailbox

It certainly makes me wonder why some get email verification of receipt of documents and others do not, or whether anyone has opened my file to start processing it, or if applications are processed in the order received. There does not seem to be any rhyme or reason in this process, other than they are no doubt swamped with applications and overworked. Oh well, waiting might stir impatience but it is not fatal -- except for the proverbial cat.

Well, being swamped and over worked is really no excuse. Sure you can blame the total time to a workload issue. But the inconsistencies in updates indicates a procedural issue. The stories of people calling to find out the app was waiting on a document, to find out that the documents were all there, and then having it sent to a supervisor to speed it up... That implies poor processes, and incompetence in the office.

Amazon can get a purchase processed and shipped to me overnight, and I can see the status of that order every step of the way with regular and accurate status updates. Yet my CHL app that was submitted electronically can sit for 30-60-90 days with NO UPDATE?? That shows a broken process. Any business in the private sector would be out of business in short order if it operated like this.

/end rant

How many days did it take to receive any kind of update, check marks, etc?

I want to say at least 45 give or take. I'd rather watch paint dry, than have to continue this wait, but so many have waited a lot longer. It is not a quick process,so prepare yourself.

It takes 2 months before the website will show a status change showing receiving your documents.
