Utah CHP
I can see the impotance of the Texas CHL but, what is the significance of the Utah CHP. Does it give you more places you can carry throughout the country?

1. It does add some states that you could carry in.
2. It covers you if you get in a time tight & let you Texas CHL lapse for a short time because you did not start your renewal process soon enough.
3. It will cover you to carry if you get your wallet stolen or lost until you get the Texas one replaced. If you did not loose them both at the same time because they were in the same place.
May be other reasons & I will be interested in seeing if I can add more.

Carry 24-7 or guess right.

Sorry, I didn't mean to ignore you guys.
Next upcoming Utah classes are actually Texas CHL Renewal classes. We cover all the Texas renewal stuff, and then add the little bit that Utah requires that we haven't already covered. Those upcoming dates are 7/21 and 8/11 at the City of Roanoke Recreation Center.
However, if we have some interest here, we could probably put together another class with Carlson1, and do it in Irving. It's $70 at Roanoke. We can do it for forum members at Carlson's place for only $50.
Let me know.

Utah license
Just found out something interesting. To renew a Utah license you have to go to Utah. Is this correct?
Re: Utah license
No, that's not correct.doolyd wrote:Just found out something interesting. To renew a Utah license you have to go to Utah. Is this correct?

Re: Utah license
To renew the Utah CFP, you send in your renewal application, a new photo, and $10. That's all. No class, no pilgrimage to Utah.doolyd wrote:Just found out something interesting. To renew a Utah license you have to go to Utah. Is this correct?
Utah INSTRUCTORS have to renew in Utah. Maybe that is what you heard?

Hm. So there are at least four instructors in the Houston area. Hm...
