My background check took one week. There was a long weekend in there though. I submitted on 1/6 and received plastic yesterday, 1/24. There have been applicants that are in BG pending status for 1 day, others for 1 month. Average is around 1 week. After that it moves fast. Manufacturing Pending 1 day, mailed the next. By looking at the posts it seems like it then takes 3-4 business days before it arrives in your mailbox.

you and me both ... I submitted electronically on 1/6/14 and NOTHING. I called them today and they said they were missing my CHL 100 but uploaded that with the other docs they show to already have!!! Wow! Congrats! No such luck here. Status update same day as you, but BG still under review. No criminal history excluding 3 or 4 moving violations in my life (a couple were deferred), 3 addresses in the same county over the last 10 years. I don't mind, though. I did email, not call DPS on 2/14/14 to verify they had all materials. I got a response on 2/18/14 that they did indeed have it all but the process was behind. On 2/21/14 I saw my first update and then Monday 2/24/14 it was mailed.
Should have it in my hands withing the next 24 to 48 hours. Next it is off to find a IWB holster for my weapon that is comfortable to wear over long periods of the day.

When I receive mine in the mail I'm going straight home and putting my gun on. Then I may decide to go to Walmart and do a little shopping. LOL
