At this rate you are going to be an oldman by the time you get your CHL.Oldman wrote:I'm still out here waiting! Pretty long review considering I've never even had one traffic violation!

Re: October Applications
132 Days since I first submitted on Oct 15th. (lost is cluster* of emails in that window of time) Resubmitted Jan 14th. Finally updated to "manufacturing" sometime over the weekend. If you need to contact me, I will be in a chair by the mailbox. Thanks for everyones updates. Ill post again when/if it arrives.
Re: October Applications
Called and talked to a very nice lady today (Day 119) who checked and said my CHL was waiting for the photo to be attached. She then transferred me to the "specialist" who was supposed to be taking care of that photo attachment and she said she would put it in her "batch to work today". This specialist also said to allow 7-10 business days to receive my license. So if that's true, I should get it sometime between Day 128 to 133. That may be a record longest wait for this process!

Glad you're not sitting by the mailbox anymore. Re: October Applications
I think I may have a record here. 143 days online submission to mailbox. Mailed Tuesday and arrived today. Good luck to anyone else who is still waiting.TexasJake wrote:Shows Mailed this Morning 2/25jmra wrote:CongratsTexasJake wrote:132 Days since I first submitted on Oct 15th. Re: October Applications
After fully 5 months, and 3 or 4 contacts with DPS attempting to "shake the trees", our applications are still not complete, though at least my wife's got updated the other day for the very first time (!) so it seems they may finally be working on them.
I've found it VERY DISAPPOINTING that the October applicants who were apparently victimized by an overload of the computerized (online) application system have not been given priority to resolve and complete.

Re: October Applications
Well, I was checking on the DPS site today for my wife's CHL and it actually shows it as being mailed. She started the process towards the last of October. The site does not say when it was mailed though. I have not seen it in the mail. I recently got an initial CHL from Nevada (i.e. not a renewal) and it took less time than her "online renewal" from Texas has taken.
EDITED 2014.03.25 -- Well, wonders never cease... My wife's CHL finally came in last week (2014.03.20). So, just a couple of days shy of 5 months for them to complete the online renewal. For someone who has never even had so much as a traffic ticket and does not have that common of a name, that just seems to have taken a bit too much time.

Re: October Applications
My wife's CHL arrived in the mail today, over 5 months after the last of the info was completed (the FAST).
My own application is still in limbo apparently despite numerous efforts to shake the trees over there at DPS! No updates since January.
