Gun clubs?
Anyone know of any gun clubs in DFW? I'm talking about the kind that is like a country club where they load your mags for you and have a bar to drink at afterward and stuff. Personally I don't care if they load my mags for me as long as they still have the bar.
A friend of mine told me about a place like that in Southern California where he's been a few times. He said he was shooting at the range right next to the guy that played Al Bundy! I've been looking around on the internet, but can't find anything like that. I'm sure they're pretty private and expensive. Hey, it's got to be cheaper than golf and more fun to boot! I could be wrong about the cheaper part though...after visiting the fine gun room at Bass Pro.

If you have enough ammo and mags, I know a guy southwest of Denton who has a place to load and relieve you of money. And see who quits first.
The drinkin' tho would have to be elsewhere later - provided ya had any money left.

For the right fee, I'll go with you, load your mags and carry a cooler of your beverage of choice.govnor wrote:Anyone know of any gun clubs in DFW? Heh, I think that rough creek place is somewhere I would actually visit. If I'm fishing though...it's not for catch and release. I'm eating the fish as long as it's legal size.
I'm looking for the cigar lounge type of place...with guns. I know there's one around here somewhere, but I just haven't found it yet. Maybe I'll have to start my own.

Lol! I've already got that covered on the country outings. I have to load my own mags though.txinvestigator wrote:For the right fee, I'll go with you, load your mags and carry a cooler of your beverage of choice.govnor wrote:Anyone know of any gun clubs in DFW? Dallas Gun Club might be what you're looking for, if you can afford the ante.
There's a thread about them here:

Man, I was hoping for a bit less than the five grand initial fee. That is seriously like a country club though. Like I said, maybe I should start my own. I'd charge a lot less...like four grand to start up.KBCraig wrote:Dallas Gun Club might be what you're looking for, if you can afford the ante.

I can think of a lot of other things to spend that much money on. For instance...a bow hunting trip to Africa.

More likely the same reason he sighed after you were going on about how great a defense weapon a NAA .17 pistol would be. People generally go to Africa to hunt "dangerous" game. Hunting such game with a bow is pretty foolish.govnor wrote:What? just because I dont' want to spend five grand on it?Skiprr wrote:Sigh...
