Now I'm worried
I mailed my app on June 4th, Priority shipment from Ft. Worth..USPS said it would take 2-3 days to get to Austin..I called today just to make sure they have received it because I haven't seen a change in status online yet..They checked my DL and said they can't find me in the system.. Has anyone else ran into this? Now I'm thinking they didn't receive the App..
I have been watching a few on here and most show "Processing Application" within about 10 days from the day they mail the App in..I wish I was Patient!!

I had a similar issue. I mailed it off and it took almost three weeks before they finally changed the status from "Packet Mailed to Applicant" to "Application Incomplete - Detailed Letter sent to Applicant"
My instructor forgot to date my TR-100 for the qualification portion so they sent it back to me.
So they updated their website on Wednesday last week, I received my TR-100 on Thursday and mailed it back off on Friday.
Now we wait to see how long it takes to get the actual ball rolling.

Did you mail it with any kind of receipt return? I sent mine registered mail and it took a solid seven days for the USPS to deliver it to Austin, from Houston. So,,, is the problem with DPS or USPS or both?v8killerturbo4 wrote:I mailed my app on June 4th, Priority shipment from Ft. Be patient. DPS takes anywhere up to a month to start working on your packet after they receive it. Until they start working on it, the status will remain "Packet mailed to applicant." Mine was at that status for 5 weeks after I mailed it in, and I got it in pretty decent time (only took about 10 days to process once they got to it).

Not necessarily. The envelopes get opened, Checks go into deposits, and applications go into stacks.p-89 wrote:I mailed mine from San Antonio on June 4 also. I called western Union on the 18th and they said my money order was cashed on the 15th. so I am expecting a PIN in the mail any day. If they cashed the check than they must have started on my application proces, right?
