Do you carry...

#1

Post by txcharvel »

I've only posted a few times, but I read this forum everyday. This has been my go to site for CHL info.

Just curious as to how/if fellow CHL holders carry in certain situations. For all of these, please assume that there will be no consumption of alcoholic beverages. Also, concealed means concealed.

Do you carry at a dinner party hosted by friends?

Do you carry at a dinner party where you don't personally know the hosts (first time at their house)?

Do you carry at an off site work function (if you can't normally carry at work) if the location is legal?

Do you carry at home?

Please feel free to add to this list for how/if you would carry.

Thanks

Do you carry at a dinner party hosted by friends?---- Yes

Do you carry at a dinner party where you don't personally know the hosts (first time at their house)?---- No, but probably would not go anyway.

Do you carry at an off site work function (if you can't normally carry at work) if the location is legal?---- N/A

Do you carry at home?---- Yes

Please feel free to add to this list for how/if you would carry.

Thanks

I carry whenever it is legal

I carry at my parties, at others parties.
I carry at offsite work functions (work is 30.06)

And I carry at home, always, even when doing yard work (open and concealed, depending on what I am doing and how I am dressed)

As the OP said, assume no alcohol is being consumed by me.
I do NOT drink and carry.

Yes to all. I carry everywhere except where it is prohibited and I rarely go to places where it is prohibited. In fact, if I am remembering correctly, the only time I disarmed last year was when I went to the polls, and when I visited friends in the hospital. I stay away from bars these days. If I enjoy a cocktail, which is becoming more and more infrequent, I do it at home.

My friend Longtooth says, "Carry 24/7 or guess right." That's my take on being armed also. I may not have a gun on my person at home but, there is one handy at all times. :evil2: :tiphat:

I would suggest revising the question to when do you NOT carry. It would be much simpler to answer.

Everywhere except courthouses and airlines. And those are rare.

Anywhere else where my gun and I aren't welcome I can avoid.
