Nope; but I can share this. On December 2 Midway had Remington .22LR, 36 gr plated HP bullet, a bucket of 1,400 rounds for $62.99. It was backordered; expected arrival date of January 31.

Plated .22 rounds (I'm okay with lead round-nose, but I'd rather have copper plated to reduce barrel fouling) at 4.5 cents each sounded almost like the good ol' days, so I ordered up (limit one per customer); I could wait two months for a decent deal. Right after the first of the year, Midway notifies me that the new expected availability date is now June 1. But, they haven't changed the purchase price, so I'll keep the backorder alive. If they would let me backorder more than one bucket, I would. I'll either receive the ammo at a fair price, or Midway will never see it from Remington and I won't be out any money.

A couple of months back I found a man selling two of these on TGT for $100.00 for the 2800 rounds. After buying the grandson a Ruger 22/45 and then a Ruger 10/22 takedown I was happy to find this ammo. I wanted the CCI Mini Mag, but I gave up trying to find it.

Why a lot of shooters seek 22LR? It is inexpensive but have limited use. One has to shoot and train with his standard rd rifle and pistol.

Why wouldn't a .22LR be someone's standard rd rifle and pistol? If I could have only one caliber it would be .22LR. Great round for small game and pests. Even larger animals can be taken with the proper shot placement.
I have probably shot more .22LR rounds than all other calibers combined. It's just a useful round that is also fun to shoot.

:iagree:

I agree. Back in the '80's, I read an article in one of the gun magazines that annoited the Ruger Single Six (.22/.22 mag) as the best overall handgun for home defense. I don't recall their rationale but we'er all aware of the pluses and minuses of .22's. I still have that Single Six.
