Under the "media coverage" click on their website, their founder, Abby Spangler, Ph.D. is quoted as saying:
"...And we must protect our police so that they can protect us."
Beside being the tertiary element in a fallacious circular arugment progression, this statement, in and of itself displays a profound ignorance of the fact that, in many states, police have no legal duty to "protect" citizens.

Typical knee-jerk reactionary website and organization...
I have to wonder if our friends up in Dallas this next weekend would like to counter that "demonstration" with some facts...
I sure wouldn't let them have a total monopoly on the coverage that "protest" might get...

I used the "Contact us" link on the website to send them the following message.
***************************************************
I fully support your desire for common sense gun laws. So I hope you will be pushing for laws that eliminate the so-called "gun free zones" that are really nothing more than target rich environments for rampage killers.
None of these place are truly gun free you know. The killer always seems to have a gun.
Common sense laws would allow, actually encourage, law-abiding citizens who have met the requirements to obtain licenses to carry handguns to carry them wherever they go. If some of the students or teachers at Virginia Tech had been armed that day, they would have had a chance of stopping the attack and saving their lives.
Instead, they were forced to endure 9 long minutes where the killer fired close to 200 rounds while meeting no resistance.
If there was ever an illustration of why we cannot rely on the police to protect us, this was it.
So I hope you will join me in the push for common sense laws that will enable people to defend themselves if they ever need to.

People like these jerks live in gated, rich people communities and have no clue about real life. I wish I could make them live in some of the places I've lived in and they'd be thankful to have a gun handy. Especially after you've called the cops on your ghetto next door neighbors for loud music for the fourth or fifth time of the day and they come knock on your door at 12:30am...
People keep talking about all of this peace and love bull. If it was possible then it would have happened by now.

I quote from their website:
"Our goal is to stimulate public discourse on reasonable and effective guns laws."
My reply:
1. Mentally ill persons do not obey "reasonable and effective guns [sic] laws."
2. Violent criminals do not obey "reasonable and effective guns [sic] laws."
3. Jihadis do not obey "reasonable and effective guns [sic] laws."
