November waiting

Another update today, now it says Concealed Handgun License : Mailed.

If it was mailed today, I should have it by Friday, we'll see.

Got an update when I checked today, looks like mine has moved to "Concealed Handgun License : Manufacturing Pending "

I have not received an email, but I did log in and I see my status has changed to "Application packet has been received from the applicant, the application is in progress."

"Mailed" means it's in the out box. It could be a couple days before USPS actually gets their hands on it.

It seems like DPS is now processing apps from last week of Oct. and some of the apps received on the first week of Nov.

I called today and the guy said it's way to early and I won't see a update until sometime in February. Friday will be 60 days with no update.

01/16/2014 - FINALLY A STATUS CHANGE!!!!!!! Background under review - printing pending upon complete background. Maybe by Easter?
Maybe theres hope afterall............

No problem. I actually just called them and the person I spoke to said to give 2 more weeks and I should see an update on my application. So I guess the wait is far from over.

Congrats! It won't be long now. Mine was recevied on the 8th of Nov. but still no update.

Finally a status change! Status is "Background Check: under review"

Timeline:

Class: sometime in October:
Application submitted: 11/1/13
Fingerprints and docs: 11/4/13
First update (background check under review): 01/16/13

Time from app submission to first status update: 76 calender days, 52 work days (excluding Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Day)

Hope to see some more positive changes soon

Quick update, my status did change over last couple of days to "background check and final printing pending". I hope this is not the next "long wait" or "false update" and that they are actually catching up.

Update #2 - In Manufacturing as of today - 58 Days for a renewal, so I expect to see it in hand later this week.

Final Update # -- Received my renewal in the mail today +/- 61 Total Days (Submitted 11/15). Good to go until 2019 along with 2 more chances for the state to change the rules during the legislative process...

It goes pretty quick after the first status change. At least for me it did. After that first update I went to mailed in 2-3 days, so now I just have to watch the mailbox. The wait is almost over so hang in there!

I guess the one benefit from this long drawn out process is after the zillionth time of checking for updates NONE of us every have an excuse for not knowing our TDL or SS#!!

I got an update today! I received the conformation email from RSD stating they would send my application to a specialist on 11/22/13. Print is pending upon completion of the background check. It's finally getting close!

*Edit* That is 55 days for me to my first update. I first submitted my paperwork in Oct but I forgot to hit upload when I sent my docs via email. See "My Mistake" So that may have something to do with me getting an update so soon.
