Not to mention the fact that almost all of the instructors had to renew before the end of the yeartbrown wrote:Hang in there guys. I bet this is from people who didn't apply during the Summer and waited until September so they could take a shorter class. DPS probably got double or triple the normal volume in one month and the paperwork piled up. Times should get back to normal after the technicians make it through all of that backlog. Just be patient.

new here...
class on 12/14
prints on 12/16
submitted all paperwork 12/16
I scanned all my paperwork and sent it in through the website. should I snail mail a copy as well or call and verify receipt? There has been no update online just as many of you have stated. just want to at least know that my documents have been received and are awaiting review and approval.

Re: December Waiting
Submitted everything over the web December 4th, asking for confirmation it was all received. Email on the 5th saying it had been received correctly.

Re: December Waiting
I'm somewhere in the middle between the November and December waiting rooms. I submitted online app 11/25/13 and mailed the class paperwork and barcode on 11/25/13. Fingerprints were submitted 12/02/13. I sent an email on 01/08/14 to see if they'd received all my paperwork (for peace of mind). Received reply email today 01/17/14, confirming all documents were received and forwarded to a specialist. Of course, no online status update. I don't want to get my hopes up too high, but I did see in the November waiting room that several of the people who'd submitted early November were receiving their plastic. Hopefully DPS is working through October and making the transition to November. All I know is that the wait continues, probably for another month, but the plastic cant get here soon enough!

Sent it electronically. On a brighter note though, I just went and picked me up a glock 30 gen 3.

This is a email i got back when i inquired about my CHL.
Thank you for using the Regulatory Services Division’s website.

I submitted very similarly to you guys; class and online submission 11/25, fingerprints 12/2. Same status as your wife. Hopefully she (and I) will get an update soon!
